45 years ago, back in 1981 BJL Kitchens didn’t begin in a showroom. It began in a small joinery workshop in Holland in 1981, Kitchens mainly supplied to trade companies, now moved to the UK suppling to the customer where are kitchens are made with the same care and attention traditionally given to fine furniture.
Everything measured carefully. Details mattered. And if something wasn’t good enough to put our name to, it didn’t leave the workshop.
That approach has stayed with us ever since.
Over the decades, BJL Kitchens moved from Holland to the UK and continued to develop, but the principles behind the business remained much the same - thoughtful design, well-made cabinetry and a standard of finish we can be proud of.
Today, BJL Kitchens designs and supplies kitchens for homes throughout the UK
Our service centres on getting the kitchen itself right. We work with you to understand your room, how you use it and what you want from the finished space. From there, we develop the layout, help you choose the right style and specification, and supply the cabinetry and components ready for installation
Our kitchen collections cover everything from traditional shaker designs to clean, contemporary handleless styles, with a wide choice of colours, finishes and details to make the kitchen feel right for your home rather than something chosen straight from a showroom display.
Nearly forty years after that first workshop in Holland, we are still in the same trade for much the same reason - we enjoy designing kitchens well, paying attention to the details and supplying something you will be pleased to live with for years to come.
